Ingenious fence
This job site saw has an ingenious rip fence. Rather than a T styled fence as seen on a conventional table saw. The Sherwood job site saw’s fence features rack and pinion mechanism and sliding carriages on both the front and rear fence rails. When locked in position, the fence locks to both rails providing a very sturdy fix. This fence also features very accurate twin measuring tapes and a flip down auxiliary Hi-Lo fence for narrow work.

Quick adjustments
This saw is super easy and super quick to adjust and set. The heigh adjustment wheel is very responsive and located front and centre on the saw body. The tilt mechanism is a simple release and slide mechanism so setting angles is extremely smooth and easy with no winding required. The riving knife is mounted via a single quick release flip switch.

Twin measuring scales
The fence on this saw may be set in two positions upon the sliding carriage. Set to the inward position the saw is perfect for narrow work. Set to the outward position you gain an extra 100mm of cut up to a massive 720mm wide. To accommodate the saw is supplied with twin measuring tapes so you can measure accurately and quickly in both functions. Glad they thought of that!

Great width of cut
For a mobile job site saw, the Sherwood 10in Job Site saw has an impressive 720mm width of cut right side of the blade. To the left side there is 330mm of tabletop to work with. And to top it off there is an outfeed table that extends 400mm out past the rear edge of the blade. Plenty of space to cut down moderately sized pieces of MDF and other composite panels.
Twin mitre slots and mitre gauge
The Sherwood 10in Job Site Saw worktable features twin 19mm mitre slots approximately 150mm either side of the blade. Use the included mitre gauge and a range of other sawing accessories such as feather boards available separately. It is also the perfect setup for you to use a cross cutting sled, great for detailed docking and joinery.
Dado spindle and insert
The Sherwood Job Site Saw features a 15.9mm spindle that will accept an 8in dado blade up to 20mm wide. There is a dado blade insert plate sold separately as an accessory, see the drop-down menu above. Having dado capabilities is great particularly if you are making joints for windows and doors or making custom joinery onsite.
Quick release blade guard with riving knife
This saw has both a riving knife and a spreader with blade guard / dust hood attachment. The riving knife sits neatly below the maximum height of the blade for safe trench cuts. Use the spreader with dust hood for safe sawing all round. The blade guard / dust hood features a 38mm dust port. Swapping these tools in and out is quick and easy using the quick release flip switch. Store in the caddie attached to the saw body.
The controls
All the major controls on this job site saw are easily accessible all being located at the front of the machine. The action of each is very smooth so adjusting the saw is a simple and pleasurable experience. The on / off safety switch is set at knee height – just in case you get into trouble.
Dust port and blade shroud
