Black Is The New Orange
Every now and then a product comes along that changes the way people think about woodworking. Compact but powerful, flexible yet sturdy, subtle and stylish – Sherwood Black isn’t just another bandsaw range, they’re a sight for saw eyes.
Why Sherwood bandsaws?
Why limit yourself to cutting wood when you could cut almost anything, from sheet metal to rocks and concrete. All while ensuring an excellent quality cut in a machine built for reliability, durability and a little bit of flair.
Boasting a large fence, table and motor – this time with 1,150 W of peak power – the 14in EVS model also includes a fantastic range of safety features for busy workshops and classes. It's quiet to operate yet powers off instantly with the push of a button, removing the issue of quietly spinning down sawblades in crowded areas.
With cast-iron wheels and heat-absorbing ceramic blade guides, a material originally designed to help space shuttles re-enter the atmosphere without burning up, just like it’s other siblings the 14in model is a fantastic model for those who want something of everything, as long as its high-quality.

Which bandsaw is right for me?
Ideal for those who don't want to be limited by just cutting wood, the addition of electronic variable speed within the high-quality Sherwood Black range is targeted at those looking for a mid-capacity bandsaw that can deal with a variety of applications, yet retain industry-leading quality in every cut.
If you’re looking for a specialised, smaller model with the same focus on quality, the Sherwood Black 10in is built by the same manufacturer (that normally specialises in industrial-sized bandsaws). The 10in model retains Sherwood's excellent quality and attention to detail, but tailors its features to smaller capacity cuts.
Likewise, if you're purely interested in cutting wood, the Sherwood Heavy-Duty 14in model provides similar features, without electronic variable speed. However Sherwood also produce a wide range of Deep Rip models specialised for larger capacity projects (up to 18in) and cost-effective standard bandsaws purpose-built for casual hobbyists and DIYers.
Please note that due to the shipping weight of this machine that a tailgate drop fee of $80.00 may need to be charged. Please see our Freight & Returns for more information.
