Bison 1879 Splitting Hatchet
A compact yet powerful splitting hatchet, designed with a short handle for portability on outdoor adventures. The Bison splitting hatchet head is weighty but manageable for up to medium size wooden blocks and logs. The handle is made of solid Hickory and is ergonomically shaped for user comfort and finished with an oil finish. The handle has excellent vibration absorption and features a metal overstrike protector. The cutting edge has a medium-sharp grind. The head features a slightly concaved profile to enhance the splitting effect.
