The Torquata Skew Chisel with Rolled Edges 

The skew chisel is a versatile tool used for cutting precise, smooth finished surfaces on the outside of spindles. It is also used for cutting vee-grooves and forming beads. Rolled edge skews are perhaps the best type of skew chisel available. Why? Firstly, the rolled edge means if a catch occurs your tool rest isn’t damaged. Secondly, the rolled edge will glide more smoothly along your tool rest helping you achieve a smoother finish on your piece. Together this allows you to control your chisel more effectively and easily. 

M2 High Speed Steel (HSS)

Torquata woodturning tools are made with M2 HSS steel. This is a hard tungsten-molybdenum high-speed steel used widely for making cutting tools and equipment. It is hard wearing, holds an edge and easily sharpened making it a perfect steel for woodturning tools.
