Sherwood’s 5HP Single Stage Dust Extractor is designed to deliver maximum airflow, efficient chip handling, and fine dust capture in professional workshop environments.

Powered by a 3750W three-phase Induction motor, the SWDC-3750-T produces a suction capacity of 4300 CFM and a maximum static pressure of 255mm H₂O. This performance enables the unit to service up to four machines simultaneously without airflow degradation. The precision-balanced 361mm cast-aluminium radial fin impeller efficiently transfers material into dual 310 litre collection bags, optimising motor load while maintaining consistent extraction volumes.

The unit incorporates twin Needle Filter Bags that capture particulates down to 30 microns, ensuring compliance with fine dust control requirements. A choice of a single 240mm outlet for high-capacity extraction or a quadruple 100mm Y-connector for multi-machine setups provides total system flexibility.

Motor and Suction Performance

The heavy-duty three-phase induction motor provides 3750W of continuous-duty output, engineered for long service life under demanding load conditions. With an air delivery of 4300 CFM, the extractor maintains sufficient suction head to operate multiple woodworking machines concurrently. The high static pressure rating supports efficient chip and dust transport across longer ducting runs.

Impeller and Ducting System

The 361mm radial fin impeller is cast from lightweight yet durable aluminium alloy, combining rotational efficiency with mechanical strength. This patent-pending geometry reduces torsional strain on the motor under heavy extraction loads, prolonging service life while enabling high-volume throughput. The upgraded steel ducting from impeller to filter increases negative pressure stability, reducing turbulence and improving system reliability. Transparent lower collection bags allow for rapid visual inspection of fill levels, eliminating downtime caused by overfilling.

 Filtration Capacity

The twin Needle Filter Bags achieve fine particulate separation down to 30 microns, effectively removing both coarse chips and airborne dust. The supplied collection bags measure 600mm in diameter with a 1100mm drop, delivering high-volume chip storage. Spare collection bags are included as standard to reduce downtime during maintenance cycles.

Mobility and Installation

Four industrial-grade swivel castors provide stable and smooth mobility, allowing the extractor to be positioned adjacent to the dust source. This minimises hose length, reduces static loss, and optimises suction efficiency.
