Sherwood's Famous 1900CFM 2300W 3HP Dust Extractor

Designed for high-demand environments, this extractor is well-suited to workshops where multiple machines may be operating at once. It’s powered by a 3HP motor capable of generating up to 1900CFM of airflow, ensuring strong and consistent extraction performance.

Fitted with pleated filter cartridges capable of filtering down to 1 micron, it offers excellent fine dust capture. Each collection bag measures 500mm in diameter and 1000mm deep, and the dual-bag setup significantly reduces downtime by doubling collection capacity. The unit features a rubber-sealed metal ducting system from the inlet to the collection bags, delivering a superior seal for increased suction efficiency.

The unit includes a single 6in inlet and is supplied with a triple 4in outlet for flexible machine connections. Mounted on castors, it can be moved around the workshop if required, although most setups will benefit from it remaining in a fixed position for centralised extraction.

Pleated Filter Cartridges

The FM-400-PFC comes with twin Pleated Filter Cartridges, allowing the extractor to filter down to a tiny 1 micron, easily removing dust of any dangerous size that can do harm to your health. The pleated filter configuration increases the filtering surface area up to seven times greater than a standard bag ensuring there is no loss of efficiency that comes with finer filtration. Cleaning the filter is a breeze using the built-in agitator – simply turning the handle will dislodge caked-in dust and shake it down into the collection bag. Extra collection bags are included.

The Sherwood Dust Extraction Difference: Unique Air Flow Testing

There are two measurements of extractor efficiency – air flow which we measure in cubic feet/minute (CFM) and the other lesser known measurement is static pressure that we measure in inches of water (in/H₂O).

Most woodworkers buy on CFM, but this is only a measurement of the extractor flow when no hose is attached and at the head of the extractor – not a common real-world measure. On the other hand, static pressure measures the resistance once hose has been attached.

This will of course vary depending on the hose size so we list all static pressure measurements with the most common size 4in hose for consistency of comparison. As hose size increases static pressure will decrease and vice versa for smaller hose.

So make sure when you compare extractors that you get the static pressure rating as well as the CFM to ensure that you are getting a machine that will work as well as the Sherwood range.
