Trace finds the centreline of your sketch, providing a clean line that’s optimized for working with laser cutters, vinyl cutters, CNC machines and more.

SVG Selection & Edge Smoothing

Choose just the parts of the capture that you want by using the Selection Tool. Modify your drawings with the smoothing tool to adjust rough edges.

Universal Adaptability

The universal adaptability of the Trace allows it to be used with non-Shaper CNCs and a myriad of software. Once your hand drawing has been converted to an SVG file through the Studio program, it is able to be imported into a multitude of programs for universal CNC machines or similar applications.

Trace Application

Along with the Trace Frame, you’ll have access to the Trace web application — no subscription required. Unlike a traditional scanning process, Trace allows you to capture your drawing at any angle without needing to be directly over the image. Trace removes distortion and preserves scale, regardless of how you hold your phone. Access the app from any browser on your phone or tablet with a front-facing camera.

Artist Pens for Trace Frame

This is the same pen that ships with Trace. It's a fine detail 0.5mm felt tip artist pen which Shaper has sourced from Japan. Supplied as a pack of six pens - keep a few in the shop and a few on your desk!
