Pony Jorgensen No.5 Jack Plane O1 Steel Blade

Jorgensen has designed all new bench planes using premium materials and workmanship. These planes are ready right out of the box and minimum honing is required.

Ductile Iron
Far stronger and more resilient than traditional Gray Iron. Ductile Iron absorbs vibrations, is highly resistant to cracking and will survive an accidental fall to the workshop floor that would break a gray iron casting.

Stress Relieved Casting
Internal stress must be relieved to ensure the machined casting will stay flat over time. Jorgensen stress relive castings by sitting castings for over 6 months and also soaking them at high temperature with a slow cooling over 48 hours for further relieved before use.

Flatness Tolerances
Ready to use out of box, with no need to further lapping or flattening. The soles have been carefully ground to a flatness tolerance of 0.0015in.

Pro 3mm O1 Steel Blade
Up to 1.6x thicker than other products for a solid cut with minimal vibration. Oil hardened high carbon tool steel for cold stamping with the great properties of high hardness and wear resistance.

Stainless Steel Hardware
For rust-resistance, smooth operation and adjustment.
