Reverse skip are another excellent skip-toothed scroll saw blade

Please select your preferred option.

Reverse Skip scroll saw blades are the perfect combination of low-heat generation and minimal tear-out.

These are very similar to your classic skip-toothed saw blade, so you get the same advantages (less heat build up, longer life) but they have one extra selling feature - they reverse the final few teeth in the blade to avoid tear-out and splintering on your workpiece. Given normal skip-tooth blades are already fairly good at preventing this, reverse-skips are fantastic if you're performing delicate work.

Reverse Skip Tooth blades are similar to skip tooth blades except that the bottom half of the blade's teeth cut upwards which will minimise feathering at the bottom of the piece. Sold as pack of 12.

Reverse Tooth blades have the same performance as the regular skip tooth blades with the added benefit of reverse teeth at the base for a smooth, splinter free finish on top and bottom surfaces. Excellent blade for eliminating tear-out on birch and maple plywood.

Which scroll saw blades should I choose?

The only downside is having to position the blades. Ideally you want to only position three or so reverse-teeth below the surface of your workpiece, which may mean cutting the blade down to size in certain situations. If you're willing to take on those slight adjustments, these are excellent blades for fine, consistent work.

Available as a pack of 12. UN = Universal Number.
