Japanese saws derive their efficiency from ultra-thin plates that remove minimal material. The Gyokucho Kami No Utsuwa Dozuki pushes this philosophy to its absolute limit, with a plate measuring just 0.15mm thick and an exceptionally fine kerf of 0.3mm.

The blade features nickel plating to resist resin build-up and corrosion. Each tooth is individually impulse-hardened, creating very hard cutting edges while maintaining a tough, resilient core. Precision tooth setting ensures the saw tracks straight and true with remarkable consistency.

To harness this level of performance, the Gyokucho Kami No Utsuwa Dozuki features a solid Japanese white oak handle. This is heavier than the traditional Japanese saw handle, shifting the centre of gravity closer to the user’s body and delivering greater control. By adjusting your grip along the handle, you can fine-tune how much weight bears over the teeth—choking up for delicate, surgical precision or lowering your hand for faster, more assertive cuts.
