Create Your Perfect Plane

The kit version of the Ironbark stainless steel block plane includes all the metal parts of the tool. It also includes plastic versions of the infill and lever cap that you can use as patterns when making your own components from the timber of your choice. Once the fit of the wooden components is perfected, you can then sculpt the upper surfaces to create a block plane that fits your hand exactly.

Innovative Adjustment

Unlike on traditional Norris-style adjusters, the lateral adjustment on the Ironbark is done without de-centring the depth adjuster. Instead, an ingenious ‘V2’ adjuster allows the blade to be fine-tuned laterally completely independently from the depth knob.
