Most turners have problems with their lathe tool rest. As the rest wears, it becomes very difficult to produce a smooth action along the rest when trying to take an even cut. Torquata's Modular Tool Rests are made from smooth hardened steel and will eliminate this problem. Torquata Tool Rest Straight Crossbars are available in three lengths, choose your preferred option from the dropdown menu above. The crossbar screws easily and snuggly to your Torquata stem, all you need is an Allen key to tighten. All the stems and crossbars in the Torquata modular range are interchangeable. So once you have a stem, you can just keep on adding different crossbars to your hearts content.

Build the perfect Modular Tool Rest for your lathe in three simple steps.

STEP 1 - Choose the Tool Rest Stem that fits your lathe. Stems available include 15.9mm (5/8in), 19.0mm (3/4in), 25mm, 25.4mm (1.0in) and 30mm in diameter. Visit the Torquata Stem product page to learn more.  If you own a Sherwood lathe check the Stem or Lathe listing page and see what stems suit.

STEP 2 - Choose from the Crossbar range the one that suits your work. Both Radius and S-Shaped crossbars are available. All the stems and crossbars in the Torquata Modular range are interchangeable.

STEP 3 - Screw them together and get turning on any compatible lathe!
