The three-horsepower induction motor delivers enough power to muscle through demanding dimensioning jobs, even in challenging Aussie hardwoods. The motor, which runs a triple-belt pulley system to the cutterhead, is matched with a two speed gear box to adjust your feed rate – slow feed rate for a better finished surface, and fast feed rate for rapid dimensioning.

More Mobility

The Sherwood 16in Industrial Thicknesser is mounted on a cabinet equipped with four tough and smooth-rolling castors, allowing you to easily position the machine when needed. In one motion the foot locking knob, locks the castors into place, giving you a stable bed to plane. The inbuilt extendable lifting handles, allow for easy movement with a forklift or joist to manoeuvring into exact position in your workshop.

Switch Arm

This model features an upgraded switch arm from the previous model. The switchbox is located on a sturdy steel arm that contains the power cord, preventing any catching or damage to the wire.
