The round-sole spokeshave features unique angled handles to allow the craftsperson to access tricky internal curves, to provide clearance under the fingers, and to allow you to work more comfortably. 

Beautifully Made

The precision-machined solid brass body holds an M2 HSS Blade over a 45mm wide mouth. Hand-turned Mulga handles set at 10 degrees to the body offer the perfect visual complement to the brass while providing excellent ergonomics. Every threaded component has minimal backlash – a result of the attention to detail and care with which every Ironbark tool is made. 

Easy to Adjust

Ironbark’s innovative twin-screw design makes it super-easy to remove and reset the blade for sharpening. An asymmetrical setup is easily achievable, allowing you to take a deeper cut with one side of the tool, and a lighter one on the other.

A Pleasure to Use

Using a spokeshave should be an intuitive, tactile experience; it should become an extension of the craftsperson’s body. In this style of spokeshave, there is no sole behind the blade. Instead, the tool rides the bevel, allowing the user to adjust the depth of cut from stroke to stroke.
