Striking lines parallel with the edge of your stock couldn’t be easier, once you have a Woodpeckers Precision T-Square in your shop.
The beam has a lip that rests on the top surface of your stock, preventing the tool from rolling like many T-squares. Precision machined scribing guides are spaced every millimetre down the length of the blade. Just drop in the point of a mechanical pencil and scribe a perfectly parallel line by holding the pencil in one hand and sliding the T-square with the other.
Each Woodpeckers T-Square consists of a laser engraved aluminium blade matched to a precision machined beam. The two critical components are secured together with 6 stainless steel screws. A slight offset between the holes in the blade and the threads in the beam put the two under constant tension. This design delivers an angular precision of ±.02 degrees (.004in per foot). It delivers top notch performance yet allows the blade to be replaced should it be damaged.
The edges of the blade are bevelled 30°, putting the scale markings right down next to your stock, eliminating parallax error. The scales are laser-engraved to a tolerance of ±.004in total accumulated error. The white engraving on the famous “Woodpeckers Red” anodized finish delivers a very readable contrast, even for older eyes or poor lighting conditions. Additional 1/4in holes are machined on 1in centres for marking shelf pin locations.
Each T-Square is delivered with a wall-mountable Rack-It to keep your Precision T-square right in plain sight and always ready for the next project.
