    Magnetic Featherboard Thin Hold-Down MSWTSG

Magswitch's Thin-Hold Down is an extremely clever idea

The basic idea behind the Thin-Hold Down isn't that basic at all. In fact, it's downright brilliant. There is an adjustable ball bearing at the front of the hold-down that allows you to easily perform rip cuts while ensuring a level of precision accuracy that you simply won't get elsewhere. But just like an infomercial (we feel like we're selling steak knives here), Wait, There's More!

The sloped sides then hold your workpiece without you having to. We've found this works brilliantly for any stock size between 1/16" to 3/4" so that leaves our hands completely free to further stabilise the workpiece. It's much safer, easier and best of all, it improves your results out of sight!

Finally, the molded step on the other side safely holds down stock of the following sizes: 1/8", 1/4" and 3/8".

How does the Thin Hold Down work

The Ultimate Thin Stock Hold Down/Rip Guide attachment is for use with the Magswitch Workholding System. It mounts to the Universal Mounting Base with MagJigs (each sold separately). There is no other tool like it in the industry! Three tools in one!

Features a stepped side for most common thicknesses of 1/8in (3.2mm), 1/4in (6.4mm) and 3/8in (9.5mm).  The opposite side is sloped for odd sizes up to 3/4in. The Ultimate Thin Stock Rip Guide features a fixed roller bearing and extends forward for accurate repetitive ripping of your thin stock and is ideal as a thin stock hold down on the infeed/outfeed of your table saw.

    Bonus Features

It enhances safety by keeping your fingers away from the blade while also minimizing chatter for cleaner cuts.

This tool features core advantages of Magswitch including fast, strong set up anywhere on a steel table or cast iron fence and includes all required attachment hardware.

How to ensure the Thin Hold Down works best

As long as your saw fence is parallel to your blade and you're using a thin kerf, you should be able to garner excellent results with this jig. Just don't try to cut anything too narrow already, it's made for ripping slightly thicker pieces.
