The Micro Jig MJ Splitters do the work of a mini-riving knife to help prevent kickback on your table saw.
A tablesaw without a riving knife is more likely to kick back while ripping. There are many new saws that come with a riving knife, but if you are not ready to buy a new saw or its going to get in the way for a particular job, you can now add the safety of a riving knife to your saw with the Micro Jig MJ Splitter.
These Micro Jig MJ Splitters are designed to mount to your Zero Clearance throat plates and behave like a mini-riving knife when ripping 90° cuts. An included template drill guide and bit let you drill precise holes into your zero clearance throat plate to accept the mounting pins on the splitters. Once installed, the Micro Jig MJ Splitter removes and remounts in seconds. They also act as mini feather boards on the exit side of the saw blade that help to bear your keeper piece against the fence.
