Manufactured in Preston, Victoria, the Ironcore Pyrography Machine has undergone virtually no changes in the past twenty years due to its reliability, dependability and quality constrution. You can tell this by comparing the main photo (taken in 2015) to the second photo which was originally taken back in 1998 for our first catalogue. By then it had already been in production for many years.
The unit has variable heat control setting and works on the hot wire tip principal. Various wire tips shaped differently will provide varied, unique effects. Ideal for typical Australian hardwood species like Mallee, Jarrah, Sheoak, Burl etc. where sufficient heat on the stylus is essential.
This unit is favoured and recommended by serious hobbyists, professionals, schools and government institutions.
Eventually the handles do wear out and these are available separately to be rewired into the control unit. Included with the kit are three tips (one installed, two spare) - the special NiChrome wire tips are also available separately as a pack of 10 replacements.
