Pocket Hole Screws - Fine Maxi-Loc Zinc Plated

Kreg Screws are available in several different types, each with unique qualities that optimize performance in specific applications. Once you understand these qualities, it’s easy to choose the correct Kreg Screw. In this video, Kreg take a few minutes to tell you about each type of screw, and we suggest a few simple guidelines you should consider to pick the best screw for everything you build.

Features unique to this type of screw are -

    • Zinc screws are recommended for a wide variety of indoor projects where moisture is not a concern.
    • Fine-Thread screws are the preferred choice for hardwoods like Tasmanian Oak, Jarri, Marri, Redgum, American Oak & Ash etc. that are hard and dense. Fine threads are less aggressive, so they’ll drive without splitting, but these screws have a higher number of threads per inch to ensure great holding power.
    • Maxi-Loc screws are a great choice for the majority of applications. These Kreg Screws have a large head that provides maximum bearing surface as the screw pulls tight in the pocket.

Features common to all Kreg Screws are -

    1. Square-Drive prevents bit slipping while driving
    2. Flat Bottom Head seats firmly in pocket hole
    3. Smooth Shank draws the joint together
    4. Case-Hardened Steel won’t bend, snap or break
    5. Self-Tapping Tip drills its own hole without splitting
