Sherwood Mitre Guide & Fence: Precision you can afford
The mitre bar is designed to fit in standard 19.0 x 9.5mm (3/4 x 3/8in) slots, with four reversible grub screws that have a ball-end on them. Because they are reversible you can screw them from either side to remove any play in the slot as well as square the bar against the working face of the machine.
Which fence should I choose?
The protractor is produced from powdercoated 5mm steel plate with CNC-machined countersunk positive stops at 0°, 22.5°, 30°, 45°, 60°, 67.5° and 90°. The easy-to-use spring-loaded pin engages with the countersunk holes to ensure the protractor aligns perfectly with the desired angle, taking any guesswork out and providing accurate mitre cuts. Any angle in between the stops can be set manually between 0-90° as required.
Why a Sherwood mitre guide?
One of the main features is the tall anodised alloy fence, reducing the capacity for corrosion, which is fitted with an (included) adjustable flip-over length stop.
This 450mm-long fence can be slid along the gauge body by releasing two knurled steel thumb screws - making positioning easy for maximum support or capacity depending on the application. A great option for making repeatable cuts at exactly the same length every time.
This mitre guide is guaranteed to improve your accuracy when cutting on table saws, bandsaws, router tables or any other machines with the standard 19mm mitre slot.
