A great little mortice gauge that would suit smaller hands and smaller, finer detail work. Produced solely from rosewood and brass, the main bar measures approximate 12mm square and 165mm long. The two pins used for marking mortices (or two parallel lines) can be positioned a minimum of 4.5 - up to 82.5mm apart. When used as a standard marking gauge the 45 x 43 x19mm fence can be positioned up to 110mm from the marking pin.
Because of the sliding brass strip to reposition the adjustable mortice pin, this tool is recommended as the fixing lock nut will never mark the main bar so will last longer in a workshop. A great lightweight but well-made and feature-rich marking tool.
The fourth image shows the miniature mortice gauge next to the standard size version to give a sense of scale of the two gauges side-by-side.
