Eclipse Saw Tooth Setter for setting the teeth on your saw.
The set is the amount by which the teeth on a saw protrude from the side of the blade. It’s the set that creates the width of the kerf wider than the blade aiming to prevent binding from the non-cutting part of the saw blade as it enters the cut. This allows for an easier cutting action and improved control.
The teeth need to be alternately set on both sides so that there are equal numbers of teeth protruding from either side of the blade.
Suitable for setting teeth on resharpenable handsaws and tenon saws from around 4TPI – 12TPI.
