Crown: Keeping woodworking tradition alive.
A great little Mortice Gauge that would suit smaller hands and smaller, finer detailed work. Produced solely from rosewood and brass, the main bar measures approximate 12mm square and 165mm long.
The two pins used for marking mortices (or two parallel lines) can be positioned anywhere between 4.5 - 82.5mm apart.
Flip it over and it becomes a single pin marking gauge. When used as a standard marking gauge the 45 x 43 x 19mm fence can be positioned up to 110mm from the marking pin.
Because of the sliding Brass strip to reposition the adjustable mortice pin, this tool is recommended as the fixing lock nut will never mark the main bar which will keep it lasting longer in a workshop.
A great, lightweight but well-made and feature-rich marking tool.
