Blade Features
- Laser cut from high-quality steel.
- Industrial high silver / copper brazing that is guaranteed to never delaminate.
- ATB (Alternate Tooth Bevel) blades ensure an ultra-sharp contact point and smooth finish.
- Hardened steel blade body diminishes vibration and user fatigue, essential for thin kerf blades.
- Engineered expansion slots to reduce blade noise.
- Torquata carbide teeth are engineered and manufactured to provide a sharp edge, smooth finish and a long life.
Why Thin Kerf?
The thinner the kerf, the narrower the cut and the less material lost. This is a prudent choice for retaining as much material as possible, important for a task like ripping thin strips. In turn, the less material lost means a reduction in the sawdust generated, key when working with a material such as MDF. Finally, a thin kerf reduces friction and resistance on the stock which minimises power drain, essential for less powerful hand-held saws. If you’re only going to get one kit of blades, make it a thin kerf set!
Torquata Thin Kerf Ripping Circular Saw Blades
The rip cut, or cutting along the grain, is one of the most common cuts performed in woodworking. Unless you’re joining boards, you often don’t need to use their full width; enter the rip blade. The aggressive rake or hook, and minimal teeth ensures fast feed rates to get your stock down to size quick and easily.
These Torquata circular saw blades are dedicated to making rip cuts in wood, chipboard, MDF and other wood composites.
These blades will saw:
- Hardwood
- Softwood
- Plywood
- MDF
- Chipboard
- Wood composites
Torquata Thin Kerf Laminated Panel Circular Saw Blades
This range of Torquata blades are perfect for sawing laminated and composite materials. They enable very clean cuts in laminated panels when using a plunge or hand-held circular saw. The higher teeth count achieves a clean crosscut, whilst the negative rake prevents stock from “climbing” the blade, ideal for plunge saws.
These blades will saw:
- Bi laminated panels
- MDF
- Chipboard
- Fine coated and veneered panels
