Kick The Tick!!
Virtually all standard movements make a ticking sound once a sweep hand is installed - driving some people nuts. Well not any more - these movements have a continuous sweep so do not tick and the second hand glides effortlessly around the face - well known as a better quality movement than standard quartz movements. The other benefit is that continuous sweep movements more accurately keep time than the old tickers.
These movements still use the same standard hour, minute and sweep hands. If you're making your own clock face you can also choose from our self-adhesive Numeral Sets range.
The measurement listed here (11mm) denotes the thickness of material the movement can pass through, so the threaded section is slightly longer to allow for the fitment of the included rubber and brass washers as well as the brass nut to fix it to the face.
There are a number of accessories available to improve the appearance or functionality of the clock mounting - there is an integrated hanger that can be mounted when installing the movement, as well as Movement Cover that, while it does not provide any functional improvement, can create a neat and tidy appearance of the movement from the back.
