It has three-spring loaded points in the bar slot with grub screws adjusting their extension from the bar, making fine adjustment for an accurate fit in the mitre slot simple. Because the bar itself is slighter undersize (approximately 18.5mm - whereas most mitre guide slots are 19.0mm) this adjustment gives you an accurate base to start from.

It is adjustable over a 105 degree range (+45, -60) it will do most angles, and the cursor is recalibratable so you can re-adjust the angle measurement as required. It is recommended to install a sub-fence and stop (slots in each face are provided to do this easily) so that the timber doesn't move during cutting, improving its accuracy. It has a large locking handle that makes it comfortable to tighten as well as use as a handle when in use.
