The optional 127mm long steel post screws into the bottom of the vise, replacing the original handle. The two flats at the post bottom let you clamp it in any vise without marring the shaft, leaving both hands free for the delicate task at hand. It is also sized to mount directly into the Veritas Carver's Vice, giving you a jeweller's vise with the dexterity of the carver's vice.
