About Japanese Waterstones

Japanese woodworking tools have long been regarded as some of the best tools available worldwide. The same is true for their sharpening stones. All waterstones shown here are made of a uniform grade grit which is then bonded together to form the stone. The advantage of this is, unlike natural stones, the stone will sharpen yours tools evenly across the face of the tool. The stones are made from an aluminium oxide compound.
