The large 150 x 400mm table has a wooden sub-base so that it can be used for through mortices without fear of damage.A great idea used on this machine is the integral quick action clamp. Simply pull the cam lever back and the clamp slides smoothly into place, then when the camlock is re-engaged, it forces the clamp on to the workpiece to ensure it is locked tightly before morticing. The integral clamp can be used to clamp a work piece up to 150mm wide so it is very handy for almost all applications.

The lateral adjustment on the worktable is 250mm side-side via a rack and pinnion adjustment system and 120mm fore/aft. The table slides on dovetailed cast iron plates, and therefore has no slop whatsoever in its movement. The workstop that can be attached to the table (not shown but included) has a 250mm capacity so, for most morticing applications, is more than ample. There are scales on both the table and also the mast of the morticing machine so that the use of tape measures to calculcate the first job are not required.

When you add into the fact that the solid, and very handy cabinet stand shown is also included in the price, it provides a great case to seriously look at this mortice machine. The stand can be opened and there are two reasonably sized shelves in there to store all the accessories you require for this machine. Brilliant quality which adds up to awesome value-for-money.
