Height and tilt adjustment are via large handwheels mounted at the front and side of the saw respectively in comfortable accessible positions. The right tilt mechanism can adjust the blade 0 - 45 degrees on a single solid cast iron trunnion. The overhead guard has been upgraded as well to the European-style guard. This type of guard mounts closer to the blade and rises and falls with the blade so the chance of the timber closing in on the blade and jamming is greatly reduced.

The overhead guard has an integral 1 1/2in dust oulet and the saw is supplied with hose to attach the overhead guard to the main 4in dust outlet at the back of the saw. The 4in outlet is connected to a hopper underneath the blade itself within the cabinet so almost all dust is removed when hooked up to an appropriate extraction system (recommended).

The fence has been carried over from the standard MJ-2325 saw. It has the unique front rail shape that pulls the fence in square with the blade and locks it in to both front and rear rails. The front of the fence has a simple fine adjustment mechanism just underneath the clamping handle for easy accessibility and it works a treat when trying to get the distance from blade just right. The rear of the fence also has a small guide wheel built into it so that it rolls smoothly on the back rail.

The table top itself also has a mitre guide slot on both the right and left hand side of the blade. The mitre slot itself measures 3/4in x 7/16in deep, so it can take all standard 3/4in x 3/8in mitre slot accessories as well as T-slot shaped accessories as required - giving you the greatest number of choices with accessory fitment.
